By using Easy Image Converter you agree to these terms. They are deliberately short, because the service is simple: a web page that converts images on your own device.
What the service is
Easy Image Converter provides browser-based tools for converting, compressing and resizing images. The processing happens on your device. We do not receive, store, transmit or process your files at any point.
The service is free and provided as-is
There is no charge, no account and no service level commitment. The tools are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
We do not guarantee that the site will be available, that conversions will succeed for every file, or that results will meet a particular requirement. Image formats are numerous and their variants are inconsistently implemented; some files will fail.
Keep your originals
Always retain a copy of any original file before converting it. Conversions between lossy formats discard information permanently, and we have no ability to recover a file you no longer hold — we never had a copy of it in the first place.
Your responsibilities
- You must have the right to use and convert the images you process.
- You must not use the site for anything unlawful, or to process material that is unlawful to possess.
- You must not attempt to disrupt the site, or to access parts of the hosting infrastructure you are not authorised to access.
- You must not scrape or republish the site's written content wholesale. Linking to it is welcome.
Your images remain yours
We claim no rights whatsoever over the images you convert. Since they never reach us, no licence from you is necessary or granted.
Our content
The written guides, explanations and design of this site are our copyright. The tools rely on open-source libraries, each under its own licence. You may quote reasonable extracts with attribution and a link.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the site, including lost data, lost profits or business interruption. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Third-party links and advertising
The site may link to other websites and may display advertising supplied by third parties. We do not control those sites or advertisements and are not responsible for their content, products or privacy practices.
Changes
These terms may be updated. The date at the top of this page reflects the current version, and continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
